Alexander Kirkpatrick (1749-1818) and Marianne Sutton (1767-1833) of Coolmine, Consilla, near Dublin had 13 children: Elizabeth, Margaret, Anne, Alexander, George, Catherine, Marg, Francis, Lydia, Thomas, William, Joseph, and Stafford Frederick. Three of the children settled in Canada. Thomas came to Canada from Ireland in 1823. Stafford Frederick followed soon after and Elizabeth married Colonel Colley Foster, aide-de-camp of Sir H. Drummond, in Quebec.

Thomas Kirkpatrick (1805-1870) came from Ireland in 1823. He settled in Kingston and became a lawyer. In 1828 he founded the law firm that eventually became Nickle and Nickle. He erected a building at 194 Ontario Street which was used for legal purposes for over 75 years. He lived alongside his business on the site of the Frontenac Hotel but later moved to the house known as St. Helen's on King Street West. He was the first Mayor of Kingston in 1838, and served a second term in 1847 when Kingston was a city. He was also a member of parliament for the County of Frontenac. In 1829, he married Helen Fisher, daughter of Alexander Fisher, judge of the Midland District, and had five sons and four daughters.

Stafford Frederick Kirkpatrick (1809-1858) also became a lawyer and settled in Peterborough, Ontario where he eventually became district judge in 1845. In 1835 Stafford married Henrietta Fisher, sister of Helen Fisher Kirkpatrick. They had two sons and four daughters.

Thomas' son, George Airey Kirkpatrick (1841-1899), succeeded his father in the law and had as his partner Mr. R. Vashon Rogers. He obtained his B.A. and LLB from Trinity College, Dublin in 1861. He was called to the bar of Upper Canada in 1865, and became a member of the Queen's Counsel in 1880. In 1870 he was elected representative for the County of Frontenac succeeding his father. He retained the seat until 1892 when he became Lieutenant-Governor fo Ontario, a position he held until 1897.

John Auldjo, Acting British Consul in Geneva, Switzerland (1870), was the son of Alexander Auldjo, a substantial landowner in Upper Canada with properties in Cornwall, L'Original, Hawkesberry, Madoc, Picton, Frankford, Stirling, Wooler, Cobourg, Port Hope, Lindsay, Brighton, Simcoe, Barrie, Brantford, Pendleton, Cavan, Bloomfield, Kendall, Kingston and Kingston area. From 1852 to 1854 John was involved in a court case against Arnold and Short involving property disposition. About the same time he won a case against his cousin, Louis Auldjo, regarding breach of promise. Eventually John turned over all his properties in Canada to his niece in lieu of monies owed.

The probate of the last Will and Testament of James Macnee was on September 3, 1881 and the Executors were Sarah Elizabeth Macnee, James Richmond and Robert Vashon Rogers. James Richmond died April 24, 1894 and Sarah E. Macnee died June 17, 1891. On February 16, 1894 Walter H. Macnee was appointed a trustee of the Macnee Estate. In 1900 the Estate appears to have been settled and in April of 1901, the Macnee Trust began formal operation. On March 2, 1903 the shares of the Macnee Trust were as follows: Walter Hill Macnee, one seventh; Mary E. Cappon, one seventh; Francis Hill Macnee, one seventh; Ethel W. Macnee, two sevenths; Arthur F. Macnee, one seventh; Alice L. Macnee, one seventh.

The Trust owned a building occupied by Starr and Sutcliffe (later Steacy and Steacy), the Macnee Warehouse Building (136-140 Princess Street), and properties in Gananoque (Ferguson block and 1029 Pine Street).

Joseph Deacon was born in in Perth, Ontario, in 1830. Deciding on law as a profession he entered the office of his brother, John Deacon, late senior judge of the County of Renfrew. He was sworn in as solicitor in 1854, admitted as an attorney in 1857, and called to the bar in 1860 and in the fall of that year moved to Brockville. After practising for eleven years he was appointed police magistrate of Brockville and he held the position from 1871 to 1918. He was created a Queen's Counsel in 1884 by the Federal Government. He practiced law in Brockville until his death in 1918.
Charles Rufus Deacon, son of Joseph Deacon and Amanda (Teskey) Deacon, graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar in 1902. He practised with his father until his father's death. In 1924 the family moved to Toronto where, until his retirement, he was Master of Titles for the Province of Ontario. In 1933 he was appointed a Kinf's Counsel and he died in 1955.
John Albert Deacon, son of Charles Rufus and Anna (McConachie) Deacon, graduated from Osgoode Hall in 1939. He served with the Royal Canadian Artillery and the Judge Advocate - General's Staff during World War II. After the war he practisec in Toronto and was appointed a Provincial Court Judge in 1965.

Lieutenant Colonel Norman Innes Fraser was a great nephew of James Oliver Mowat.

James Mason Godard, and his son of the same name, came to Quebec as wine merchants and brewers early in the nineteenth century. The younger James Mason Godard (1779-1858) had six children. His daughter Georgina (1812-1901) married Charles Reiffenstein (1817-1902) in 1840. Morris Godard married Christiana Cameron, sister of Hector Cameron. Henrietta (Henny) Selwyn Godard remained unmarried. Hannah (b. 1786) sister of James Godard, married John Thomas Caddy. Their son, John Herbert Caddy (1801-1883) became an artist of some note.

Georgina and George Charles Reiffenstein had six children: John George William (1841-1877); Miriam Clara Dunn (1844- ) married James Pennington Macpherson; Georgina (spelling varies) Caroline (1845-1918), known as Carrie; Rhoda Julia Henriette (1848-1904) known as Julia; Charles Edward (1849-1930) and James Henry (1869-1945).
