Marjorie Fleming Warner is the author and co-author of numerous books dealing with plants and horticulture including ‘A Bibliography of Plant Genetics’ and ‘A Treatise On Gardening’.

Talbot district, located in close proximity to the northern shore of Lake Erie, was created in 1837 the same year the Simcoe jail and court house was completed. The district was eventually replaced in 1849 by Middlesex County which exists to this day.

The Order of the Knights of Columbus is currently the largest Catholic fraternal service organization in the world. It is named in honour of Christopher Colubus and dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. It was first founded by Father Michael J. McGivney, a Catholic priest in New Haven, Connecticut. The Dalhousie Library in Perth, Ontario, was the first rural library to be established in Canada. At the request of Lt. Col. W. Marshall, Lord Dalhousie agreed to sponsor a township library for the rising community near Perth, Upper Canada in 1828.
