Biographical history

Allan Macnab Jones (1847-c.1930) of Prescott was for a number of years employed in the Post Office at various locations including Kingston where he was an inspector from 1879-1895. After a period in Barrie he returned to his family home in Prescott where he carried on business as "Allan Jones Lumber" until about 1920.
