General note

The Fairfield House, otherwise known as the 'White House', was built in 1793 on Collins Bay about ten miles west of Kingston by William Farifield and his wife Abigail Baker. The house remained in the possession of the Fairfield family until taken over by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission.
