Scope and content

This series is comprised of textual records and ephemera of Harry Tanner's time with a variety of Cuban organizations such as Instituto Cubana Del Arte e Industria Cinematograficos (ICAIC) and National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) as well as a small amount of correspondence and research material pertaining to particular paintings or research interests, such as William Ryan. There are a large number of slides and photographs both of Cuba and of Tanner's artwork. Of particular note is the file outlining the immigration process and problems that were unique to Harry Tanner in his being both Cuban and Canadian.
