Francis Hardy Fraser estate sous-fonds

This sous-fonds includes records which reflect the life of a young man of means: bills for clothing, books, cigars, hotels, pool and billiards.There are also records that pertain to his financial dealings regarding the properties that he owned in Kingston (including a floor plan for a house on William Street) and the Chancery case in which he was a defendent. There are a number of documents pertaining to properties in and around Kingston, including Lot 24 of the City of Kingston. There is also correspondence with the Hospital Superintendent which documents the personal hospital-patient relationships that occured in that era.

James Morton estate sous-fonds

The sous-fonds is predominantly comprised of land documents, insurance and correspondence relating to Lot 107 in the town of Kingston; the property was infromally known as the Rocheleau property. There is also a large amount of material pertaining to the Kingston Brewery and Distillery, particulary financial statements,accounts, credit documents and bills payable and receivable. There is also a small amount of miscellaneous business correspondence pertaining to Morton's other business ventures.

John Shiels estate sous-fonds

The sous-fonds consists of business correspondence received, printed ads, and price lists. There are also suppliers and customer's accounts, receipts, shipping advices, bills of lading, and remittance records. Of particular note is a patent for 'Shiels' improved lamp chimney and burner', no.312, registered March 22, 1870. There is also a small amount of material that pertains to Shiels' personal life, i.e. correspondence and receipts for household items, and the schooling of his children.

McPherson Trust sous-fonds

Sous-fonds consists of correspondence, legal documents and financial records. The trust was established on the marriage of Jane Catherine Herchmer to John McPherson in 1838 and endured until McPherson's death in 1903.

Robert Sproul estate sous-fonds

The sous-fonds consists of correspondence, legal and business papers including documents relating to land lots in the Townships of Ernestown, Camden and Hungerford. The papers have been arranged into the following series: Documents relating to Land Lots, 1840-1872; Papers concerning Insurance of Township Properties, 1850-1874; Papers relating to Storrington House, 1858-1862; Legal Papers and Litigation, 18 42-1860 - including suits against George Mink with related correspondence; Estate, Legal and Business Papers, 1829-1877; Correspondence, 1845-1875 - of particular note is a petition from Sarah Sproul to Viscount Monk regarding her son John who had joined the U.S. Calvary without her knowledge or consent; and Miscellaneous Papers, 1879-1901.

William Robert Sanders estate sous-fonds

The sous-fonds consists of correspondence and account books. The correspondence is arranged chronologically, and due to the fact that the Kirkpatrick and Sanders families were friends, is both personal and of a legal nature.The correspondence covers comment and opinion on such topics as the Crimean War, the American Civil War and the social and economic situation in rural Ireland. Also included are three account books of William's that were sent to the Kirkpatricks to help explain the estate transactions.

Angus Joseph Macdonnell estate sous-fonds

The sous-fonds mainly consists of correspondence, legal documents and material relating predominantly to his personal life and not with his activities as a banker. Also included is material relating to two cases heard in the Supreme Court of Ontario: Macdonnell and Keefer, 1918-1919 and Marks and Keefer, 1917.

Horatio Nelson Garrett estate sous-fonds

The sous-fonds consists of legal papers pertaining to the estate of both William Robert Garrett and his son Horatio Nelson Garrett over a 60 year period, as well as various other family members such as Harriet Cushman, Lydia Anne Thirkell, Marcia Vaughn. The papers predominantly consist of leases,correspondence, transfers, bargain & sale, insurance, and maintenance records for various properties owned by the Garretts around the city of Kingston. This includes: waterfront lot at the base of Gordon Street at King; the premises on the southwesterly side of Market Square known as the "Queen's Arms"; properties in the Clergy reserve of Block G; Town Lots 23 and 24; Lot 18 in the 2nd Concession in the Township of Kingston; and store property on Princess Street. Of particular note are plans and drawings for a number of these properties by Kilborne and D. Williams, surveyors.
