Showcase - Dept of Music (2 tapes)

Part 1. Location: Grant Hall. Video contains several music pieces performed by different parts of the Faculty of Music. Begins with two pieces by the wind ensemble. Afterwards the choral ensemble performs. Finally, the symphony orchestra performs.
Part 2. Video begins with a performance by the symphonic band. Afterwards, the chamber singers perform. Finally, the jazz ensemble performs three pieces.

Advocate and the Jury, The 1/2

Part 1. Main Speaker(s): Justice Archie Campbell, Marcia Matsui, Michael Brown. Video is of a part of the 1990 Fogler, Rubinoff Advocacy Symposium. The panelists discuss issues with the legal system, focusing on the relationship between the defense and the jury.
Part 2. Continuation and conclusion of the symposium discussion between Justice Campbell, Matsui, and Brown. The panelists answer questions from the audience during the last portion of the video.

Children?s Evidence, Faculty of Law

Location: Court house. Video is based on a real-life case where a child claims she was sexually abused by her father after her parents seperated. Contains an acted-out court trial of this case.

The fonds consists of video productions in a variety of formats (Umatic, VHS, created in-house by QTV for a variety of institutional clients and departments. Also includes slides of CORK 1975; visit by H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth II, 1976; Sailing Olympics off Portsmouth Harbour, 1976; Queen's University staff, 1970's. Stills from old QTV productions showing buildings, staff and research, both on an off the University campus.

Installation of the Chancellor Part 1

Part 1: Dr Angnes Benedickson. Location: Grant Hall. Video begins with footage of procession filing into Grant Hall. Dr Benedickson is appointed chancellor, and then delivers a speech. Thomas Berger, Sidney Robert Blair, Brian Dickson, Robert Dunsmore are all presented with an honourary doctorate of laws.

Dinsdale discusses his research into radiation. Issue 2 begins with Dr Watts speaking about recent events on campus. Footage from the previous convocation is shown. Dr Kamphuis talks about his research into waves. Morris talks about research into silk. Swainson talks about Canadian politics. After issue 2 comes a segment on using computers.
