Interviwe of Bert Horner of Shawville, Que. who talks about the history of Shawville and the Ottawa Valley. He recalls the excitement generated by the arrival of the first steam-driven thresher in 1912 and the influenza epidemic of 1918 when Horner helped to evacuate the stricken lumbermen from the isolated lumber camps in the Valley.
