• Photograph is of a group of seven Cree women and children around a tepee. Ther are in a landscape with mountains in the background. There are various bits of snow shoes and sleds and wood in the foreground. The caption given by the photographer is as follows:
• Half-civilized they congregate near the growing assortment of posts and commence to ape white men in food and dress.
• Appeared as one of three images that accompanied an article written by the photographer, entitled "Don't Civilize Our Indians" Published in 1939.

Photograph shows same woman and child as E1-3, however the woman is fully frontal and the child peers over her left shoulder. The child has a hood up over its head, fur lined, and seems to be wearing a snow suit. The woman's head is tilted very slightly, and her gaze is directed away from us, and to the left, she smiles as if amused. The child looks directly at the viewer.

Photograph shows two igloos, with several dogs asleep in the snow. There are various bits of sled equipment scattered throughout. Seven dogs in total, the snow has been trampled down by both human and dog.

Photograph is fully frontal, a man looks directly at the viewer, his mouth open wide enough to see crooked teeth. His hood is up, thus his rough face is framed by the fur lining of his hood. Once again all background has been eliminated and left a stark white.

Photograph shows a landscape with a canoe with sails on water, there is one lone man sailing the canoe. Desolate landscape, only short vegetation, a slight hill in the background, and once again a plain white sky. The man has his back to the viewer, and he wears a hat pulled down over his jacket.
