Portion of a ship's rudder, 1758. Made of oak with iron fittings. Found during an excavation in Jan.1954. Believed to be from one of the vessels of the French fleet burned by Lt. Col. Bradstreet in July 1758.
A hose reel of the type used in ceremonial parades in the 1870's. This reel was proudly hauled by Kingston's Volunteer firemen at competitions with fire brigades from surrounding towns.
