Architectural Drawings and Building Code Requirements

This file consists of architectural drawings for the new theatre, as well as a list of building code requirements. The plans include two bird's eye views of the hall, one with seats and equipment and one without, and two cross-sections of the hall, one with seats and equipment and one without

Projection: 35 mm (old files/info)

This file consists of documents regarding the equipment used by the Princess Court Cinema. It includes business cards and brochures from equipment companies, letters and notes regarding where to obtain new or used equipment, minutes from a meeting regarding the use of 35mm projection, various projector brochures and pamphlets, a photocopy of an article from the Globe & Mail entitled "Making Movies Illegal" from 2 August 1986, and notes from a meeting considering the "Location of a 35 mm Projector on Campus" from 4 November 1977, including a map of Ellis Hall.

Possible Patrons

This file consists of notes with lists of possible patrons for the theatre, a business card for Laurence W. Gray of Metro Canada Limited, and three pages photocopied about the Kingston Symphony Association, 1985-86 Season (including the list of the Board of Directors, members of various ensembles, a list of donors, and news and notes).

Fundraising Materials (Relocation)

This file consists of fundraising efforts, entitled "On the Move" for the National Film Theatre of Kingston. It includes a license to run a raffle, a list of films to be shown at a Simple Supper (included are Doctor De Soto, Let's Give Kitty a Bath, The Mouse and the Motorcycle, The Snowman, He Makes Me Feel Like Dancin', Perfect Harmony, and Together and Apart), correspondence regarding fundraising efforts, brochures requesting donations, a brochure for the Toronto Film Festival, rough drafts for a "Take a Seat" brochure selling seats at the theatre, an article asking for donations to improve the equipment of the theatre, and a proposal for a New Community Auditorium for the Visual Arts.

This file consists of a contract between the National Film Theatre (Princess Court Cinema) and the Motion Picture Projectionist's Union (1 February 1988), and a contract between Cineplex Odeon Corporation and the Motion Picture Projectionist's Union (10 October 1986).
