This file consists of the grant application to the Ministry of Citizenship and Culture, as well as acceptance letters for the grant. It also includes donation letters for services such as graphic design, colour consultancy, theatrical consultation, mechanical services, and unskilled construction labour.

Meetings in 1985 include: December 5, October 10, August 21, June 10, May 28, May 6, April 30, April 9, March 26, and January 31. Meetings in 1984 include: November 8, June 21, and March 27.

NFT - Queen's Relations History

This file consists of a series of letters between the National Film Theatre and Queen's University, mostly regarding the NFT's use of campus facilities for their screenings, as well as financial issues and meetings between the two parties. There are also letters from Kingston Artist's Association, Inc. and the National Film Board of Canada. At the end is a ground floor plan of Ellis Hall at Queen's University and a paper on the National Film Theatre at Kingston.

This file consists of documents regarding the history of the National Film Theatre of Kingston and the Princess Court Cinema. It includes photocopies of articles from the Kingston Whig Standard, and the Queen's Journal, and copies of a pamphlet describing the history of the Princess Court Cinema. Also included are two documents describing the history in greater depth.

Gray of Metro Canada Limited, and three pages photocopied about the Kingston Symphony Association, 1985-86 Season (including the list of the Board of Directors, members of various ensembles, a list of donors, and news and notes).

This file consists of a list of possible sites for the cinema. Potential locations include Brock at Montreal (Limestone Seniors Club), Greenwood Building on Princess St., three different locations on Wellington. Also included are the properties for rent/lease in the Kingston Whig Standard for Tuesday, December 9, 1986, real estate information for an Otto Mall location, two letters between Leo Madore and Joanne Marion regarding their discussion of the National Film Theatre, more clippings from newspapers and notes on potential locations, and an Agreement of Purchase and Sale for 390 Princess St. on 28 March 1986.

The fonds consists primarily of financial and administrative documents pertaining to the running of the organization and inlcudes Board minutes, audited yearly accounts, position descriptions, grant applications and fundraising materials. There is a large portion of material surrounding the relocation to the Princess Court space downtown that includes architects tenders, plans, proposals and financial cost estimates. There is a smaller amount of material pertaining to the film programming that ran in the theatre, including programmes and a card catalogue of the films screened and the attendance at each screening.
