Part 1. Main Speaker(s): David Smith, Rosalie Abella, John White. Begins with chairman calling Smith to the podium, who then welcomes the audience and congratulates the School of Policy Studies on their grand opening. Afterwards Abella lectures the audience on the role the judiciary plays in policy creation. Once her speech is concluded, White delivers a paper on constitution making.

Main Speaker(s): Tom Courchene, David Peterson. Location: potentially within Robert Sutherland Hall. Begins with Courchene introducing Peterson, who then delivers a paper on provincial policy. Afterwards Peterson answers questions from the audience.

Dr Raffad then introduces Horwood, after which a slideshow containing birds, people canoeing, and other outdoor images plays to a background of flute music. Horwood then lectures the audience on the importance of adopting an integrated curriculum designed to encompass the entire human condition, instead of the current system which focuses only on the intellectual portion of life.
