5th Cross-Faculty Teaching Forum: Fred Goodman - Rule Governed Behavior: The Shoot Marbles Don?t They? 1/2

Part 1. Main Speaker(s): Fred Goodman. Video contains a demonstration of an educational game by Goodman. This game is a demonstration of rule-governed behaviour, where participants must follow certain sets of rules to survive. The main rule established by Goodman is that each player must have at least one marble to survive along with a few others, more rules are created by players acting as the government as the game goes on. After explaining the game the audience plays it for the remainder of the video.

The Sigma-Aldrich Case - Dr. Alfred Bader

Main Speaker(s): Dr Alfred Bader. Dr Bader begins by talking about how he wanted to dontate Sigma-Aldrich stock to Queen's. Dr Bader seems to be defending himself from the idea that his donation to the university was him betting against the Sigma-Aldrich company in some way. He also seems to be degrading the management at Sigma-Aldrich. He spends the end of the video taking questions form the audience.

Walter Light Hall Naming

Part 1. Main Speakers: George Aitken, David Smith, Agnes Benedickson, Dr Walter Light. Location: Walter Light auditorium. Begins with narrator talking about the purpose of Walter Light Hall and the electrical engineering program. Cuts to George Aitken talking about the naming in front of an audience in the auditorium. He presents Dr Light with a scroll signed by the graduating electrical engineering class. Smith takes the podium and talks about Dr Light. Benedickson and also talks about Dr Light as well as the naming process for the building, before unveiling a picture of him that will hang in the building. Dr Light then talks about how honoured he is. Ends with shots of the gathering after the naming.
Part 2. Main Speaker(s): CFRC Interviewer, Dr Walter Light
Location: Walter Light Auditorium
Takes place after the Walter Light Hall Naming. The CFRC interviewer asks Dr Light about his opinions on topics related to business, technology, and universities.

Electric Fields - Prof. E.E. Watson

Main Speaker(s): E.E. Watson. Location: classroom. Video is a pre-recorded, scripted lecture of Watson talking about electric fields, as well as performing experiments which demonstrate electric fields. Presumably created to be played for different physics classes year by year.

Developmental Profile II: Sharon Burke, School of Nursing

Main Speaker(s): Sharon Burke, Wendy Bogues. Location: Unknown room, resembles a kitchen. Video of Burke demonstrating how to do a developmental profile on a mother's children. The developmental profile is a series of questions about a child's behaviour to be answered by their mother, who will be able to see how her child behaves in relation to most children. Bogues plays the part of the mother while Burke asks her various questions about her children. The questions asked are based on the age of the child being discussed.

Moose Factory with Alison Sayers

Main Speaker(s): Alison Sayers. Video is a pre-recorded, edited video which was created for nursing students who were going to work at the Moose Factory general Hospital. Sayers gives some background on the location, as well as an overview of what life will be like for the outbound nurses.
