Fonds consists of correspondence covering a broad array of topics; memoranda; speeches; subject files; diaries; scrapbooks; photographs; sound recordings of numerous speeches delivered over the years. Of particular interest is the prototype on cheese cloth (bunting), possibly used by Joan O'Malley to sew the first Canadian maple-leaf flag, which was presented to the Canadian Parliament by Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson. Also includes the "Pearson Pennant."

A large portion of these papers consists of material concerning western agriculture and politics. Of particular interest in this connection are those files dealing with the Canadian Council of Agriculture, which includes the minutes of the Council from December 29, 1911 to March 31, 1922.

The fonds consists of correspondence, articles, notebooks and photographs from the earlier period of Gregory's career, involving the Weekly Sun and the Continental Union Movement, and from his later years having to do with public affairs. There is no correspondence of a purely personal nature. Noted personages who are well represented include Goldwin Smith, Henri Bourassa, Sir Wilfred Laurier and Mackenzie King. There is a large number of pamphlets, addresses and publication, relating specifically to commercial union, continental union, and Canada First; material relating to Goldwin Smith; a typewritten draft of Gregory's projected autobiography, which he never completed; as well as several letter-books, scrapbooks and diaries.
