Valentine & Sons Publishing Co. Ltd.
Fait partie de Arthur Reginald Marsden Lower fonds
Item is an 8x10 glossy print. Note: I like this scene. It could be part of "Canadian Agricultural Development" or part of "The Rise of the West". It would date, I suppose about 1920 (horse drawn farm waggon [wagon], pre Combine era.) The elevator is good.
Western Ontario landmark nearly destroyed.
Fait partie de Shortt-Haydon collection
Item is a picture of the Baby house in Sandwich, partly burned the week before. "This house was over a century old, and was the headquarters, in the war of 1812, successively, of General Hull, of the United States, and Sir Isaac Brock. Thither, also, came Tecumseh, to confer with the British." The Alexander Eng. Co. On the back "About superstitions of the present day" with the picture of a New Zealand boy at Bisley.
