Items are four letters from Sinclair Ross to Thomas Sunega.

Two pieces. Letter, mostly about Captain Aaron Hill, a Mohawk chief who was arrested by Congress. Brant, who was then on his way to England, heard of the capture and immediately returned to intercede for Hill. "... I have wrote letters to His Excellency Governor Clinton & to my friend Major Peter Schuyler ... I had no true account [of] the manner Capt. Hill is kept. The conclusion of that council at Fort Stanwix by the commissioners I have had no account at all... I hope those commissioners did not over sett all what you & we have settled there. I intend to be at Montreal the 10th of February ... to talk over of those agreements made at our meeting at Fort Stanwix ... I wish Major Peter Schuyler should be the person that would meet me at Montreal ...". Accompanied by a printed excerpt from The American Historical Record, Vol. 2, No. 19. July 1873 where the letter was first published and discussed, as well as a transcription and two file cards describing the letter.

Item is a collection of four CDs recording the reminiscences of Regina "Gini" Rosen.

The journal/commonplace book contains roughly 40 pages. There appear to be pages which have been cut out, and material has been pasted in. The content is varied and the book seems to have been used and reused at different points in Stretton's travels as there is a mix of European drawings with those of Canada. There are eight documentary pen and ink watercolours depicting Canadian content: "Carioling on the St. Lawrence" (1823); "Canadian Marche donc Cariole"; "Colonel Frobishers Cariole"; "Islands of Ice off the Banks of Newfoundland, June 7th and 10th, 1818"; "Falls of the Chaudiere near Quebec, Canada" (1824); "Pageantry (French-Canadian) Aug 14, 1823"; and, "A Quebec Indian and Squaw" (1824). Also included is a copy of a hand drawn plan of Quebec (city) for 1824, and wash over pencil (graphite) drawings of: a cave scene at Quebec; a waterfall at Quebec; the Albany Barracks; Tintern Abbery, Wales; Stonehenge; and a few other drawings with non-Canadian content. There are snippets of recorded weather, a recipe for lavender water, clippings on various subjects (curling being one), and a rather lengthy report of the Halifax Sledge Club from 1843.

Items are photograph copies of a scroll and address on the occasion of the laying of the cornerstone for the Parliament buildings in Ottawa by the Prince of Wales. Also includes a letter from the Deputy Minister of Public Works to Adam Shortt.

Item is a scrapbook containing typescripts of speeches, clippings and brochures relating to the Federal Election of 1958 from the Quebec perspective.
