The fonds consists of correspondence, subject files, press releases and photographs. The Canadian Register was a Catholic newspaper that was published monthly in Kingston, Ontario.
Collection consists of steam packet announcements (newpaper clippings, 1833), a payroll sheet for the Nova Scotia Railway (1859), published memos on the CPR and the laying of the Atlantic telegraph cable, and a published train itinerary for the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York (1901).
Item is a land grant awarded to Charles Simmons, a private in Stockton's Company of the 6th Regiment of Infantry, for service in the United States Military, signed by John Quincy Adams.
