The fonds consists of manuscripts for books published by Quarry Press, correspondence with authors, administrative and financial records. Included are submissions and related files for Quarry Magazine, Canadian Fiction Magazine and Poetry Canada, as well as manuscripts, notes, photographs and edited copies for other publications by Quarry. The fonds also contains some research notes and photographs for each of the books published by Quarry. The manuscripts include original typescripts, edits, galley proofs and finished publications. The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, typescripts of books, essays, galley proofs, news clippings, broadcast scripts, subject files, lectures, photographs and sound recordings. Dr. Whalley is the author of several books and many essays and articles. Most are represented here by working drafts, final copies and many by the final published version. Correspondence dealing with each topic and publication is also included. Another aspect of Dr. Whalley's career, broadcasting, is well represented in the papers. Dr. Whalley authored many scripts for radio and television. Drafts of scripts, revisions and correspondence with producers follow each work through from inception to reviews. There is also documentation of the 1939 Cambridge polar expedition as well as some personal material documenting Whalley's relationship with his family. The fonds was arranged by the donor into the following series: Books; Essays and articles; Broadcasts; Poetry and early imaginative writing; Professional papers, reports; Professional correspondence; and Personal material.
The fonds consists of a selection of correspondence, speeches, reports and memos pertaining to distribution at the National Film Board of Canada collected or created by Jobbins during the course of his career.

Fonds consists of photo albums and film from Pat Houston's time at Queen's University as a Mining student, as well as images from his work in Northern Ontario and Manitoba. Includes journals, a patent for a drill bit, and audio cassettes of Houston speaking about his early mining work in the North (recorded in the 1980s). Also includes a blue blazer with the Queen's crest and triclour piping, and a knit tricolour sweater with patches sewn on.
