Correspondence between Joseph Landon and various individuals regarding land business and legal papers. Includes a 1806 copy of the statutes of His Majesty, Province of Upper-Canada in North-America, a 1828 note of acreage under cultivation, description of animal markings for determining ownership of various sheep and cattle in the area, an Inn Keeping Licence granted to Joseph Landon, indentures and mortgages and various other papers. Also in the fonds is a record book of various declarations by different individuals and the roles and jobs they were undertaking for the township; jobs such as Pound Keeper, Path master, Overseer of Highways, Assessor, Collector, etc.
The fonds consists of a journal entitled From the Highlands to Fort Garry covering services at the Red River settlement and subsequent journeys of exploration by way of the Stikine and Yukon rivers.
The fonds consists of correspondence, scrapbooks, news clippings, transcripts of local diaries, and alphabetical family and genealogical files. These genealogical files, which relate mainly to Bay of Quinte and Loyalist families, contain correspondence, research from printed sources, newspaper clippings and some photographs. Also included is a set of ordnance survey maps of Kingston and area dated 1869.
The fonds consists of correspondence; biographical and geneological data; articles and essays about Sangster; photographs; and scrapbook. Correspondence includes letters from members of the Sangster family (1809-1962), including Charles Sangster; and letters of the Ross family in Prince Edward Island (1809-1935).
