The material is relevant to Morris's political career and includes several Royal Warrants authorizing his appointment to the Legislative Council, the Executive Council, and as Receiver-General of Canada as well as material pertaining to the history and founding of Queen's University. Of particular note is one letter from John A. Macdonald.
