Unveiling of Blimey Austen

Main Speaker(s): Dr Ken Robertson, Ronald Watts, Ford Connell. Video is of the unveiling of a bust of Dr 'Blimey' Austin, a former professor of surgery at Queen's. Begins with a man talking about Blimey's contributions to the university and Kingston General Hospital, before thanking several important member of the audience for coming. Dr Robertson talks about the impact Dr Austin had on his students. Man from beginning of video returns to the podium and offers more thanks to people. Watts speaks further on Dr Austin's impact on the university. The bust is then unveiled, after which Connell reminisces on what Dr Austin was like in life.

Dinsdale discusses his research into radiation. Issue 2 begins with Dr Watts speaking about recent events on campus. Footage from the previous convocation is shown. Dr Kamphuis talks about his research into waves. Morris talks about research into silk. Swainson talks about Canadian politics. After issue 2 comes a segment on using computers.

Two Windows on the World - Dept of Spanish & Italian

Edited video with a narrator on the Departments of Spanish and Italian. Begins by showcasing some of the beginner-level courses offered, before playing clips from some of the second year culture courses. Afterwards show students communicating at a third year level, before showing more clips of students receiving after-class assistance from a professor.

The Social Atom (edited)

Main Speaker(s): Donna Lee Schwammle. A pre-recorded video featuring Schwammle demonstrating the 'social atom' technique, which she would use to illustrate a client's social support network. She begins by writing the client's initials in a circle on the centre, before surrounding the circle in the initials of anyone who has an influence on her life. Afterwards they are asked to visualize the drawn 'atom' as a scene, and they use that as a point of discussion for the rest of the video.
