Dixon, of the National Historic Site known as Bellevue House, Sir John A. Macdonald's home located in Kingston, Ontario; files relating to his time as a senior bureaucrat in the National Historic Sites Service of Parks Canada; a section of his autobiography entitled, 'I was Forged on the Anvil of War, Chapter 9 - The Bellevue Years' (1998); and 'Bellevue House: An extract from the autobiography of R.R. Dixon' (2000).

Fonds consists of correspondence, financial records, diaries, travel diaries, calendars, sketch books, sketches and drawings, programmes and invitations pertaining to shows and exhibitions, inventories, speeches, awards, miscellaneous and printed material, photographs, slides and sound recordings covering all aspects of his life as a student, teacher, traveller, world-renowned artist and chronicler of the country he loved. There is also a small amount of material created and maintained by Ruth Collier (nee Brown) and some family genealogy files.

The fonds consists of nearly 1200 drawings, blueprints, and specifications spanning the career of Kingston architect William Newlands, from 1882 until his death in 1926. The subject matter of most of the material is specific to Kingston and all facets of enterprise in Kingston are represented - dwellings, businesses, schools, hospitals, churches, charitable institutions and government institutions.

The fonds consist predominantly of correspondence, photographs, and educational records from Isabel McLaughlin's late adolescence and adulthood; however, a few letters and educational records are from Isabel's childhood in Oshawa. The collection reflects Isabel's relationship with her family and friends and her involvement in the arts community, both as a patron and as an artist. Isabel's friendship and patronage extended to many well-known Canadian artists, including A.Y. Jackson, Lawren Harris, Anne Savage, Arthur Lismer, Prudence Heward, Yvonne McKague Housser, and Timothy Findley. Her involvement in arts organizations, such as the Art Students' League, the Canadian Group of Painters, the Haliconian Club, and the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, are also reflected in this collection. The fonds consist of the following series: Artistic activities, Cards, Correspondence, Education, Exhibition, Oshawa, Paris, Personal, and Photographs. Also included in this fonds is the sous-fonds of Robert Samuel McLaughlin. This sous-fonds contains material that Isabel had gathered together and seperated from her own records that pertained, or had belonged, to her father, R.S.McLaughlin.

The fonds consists of annual reports, newsclippings, advertising material, brochures and miscellaneous material related to the Canadian Locomotive Company Limited, Fairbanks Morse (Canada), Limited and other locomotive companies; glass plate negatives and positives showing interior sections of the plant and various parts of locomotives. There is also extensive graphic material including blueprints, technical drawings and photographs of locomotives.

Fonds consist of minutes; policies; and information on acquisitions and finances concerning the Chancellor Richardson Memorial Fund; estate and bequest records; and records relating to, and the dissolution of, the (Crown) Foundation at Queen's University at Kingston.
