The collection consists of land registry copy books for the counties of Frontenac, 1797-1956 and Leeds, 1797-1955, as well as a number of miscellaneous registers from the registry offices. The Leeds County material includes Grenville County up until 1822. The majority of the books contain copies of deeds, mortagages, quit claims, wills (concerning property) and powers of attorney.
The fonds consists of a letterbook relating to the repairs of ships, recruiting, supplies and fleet disposition. The letters were written from the H.M.S. Prince Regent and H.M.S. St. Lawrence. The section of the letter for 1817 to 1823 deals with the Kingston Naval Yard.
The fonds consists of correspondence, legal documents, business records and miscellaneous records of James and John Parrot and other members of a United Empire Loyalist family. Of historical interest are an estimate of Lieutenant Parrot's losses in the American Revolution, statements of accounts with local businessmen, an inventory of farm and house, and agreements between a teacher and the parents of students
