`Item is anwindow-matted top-half electo-steel engraved newspaper portrait of Mr. John Slidell; American lawyer and politician (b.1793-d.1871). Engraver unknown and botom two corners of the image are unattached.

Item is an electro-steel engraved image of Julien Xavier Chabert, born 1792 - died 1859, French-US magician who performed feats of daring, skill, and deception using fire. He performed in France and London before moving to the United States to work as a pharmacist. In 1836 he was celebrated as a chemist and physician for aiding in the New York cholera outbreak of 1832-1834.
