The fonds consists of correspondence, legal documents and financial records of Nathan Ford, agent for Samuel Ogden, proprietor of Ogdensburg, 1797, his brother, David Ford, Morristown, N.Y., and of succeeding generations who married into the Jones family, Brockville, Ont.
Fonds consists of the diaries (2 volumes) of William Smith, containing a detailed narrative of his activities in England and his first seven months in Quebec dated January 1784 to May 1787. The entries cover events, institutions, political affairs and descriptions of persons encountered by W. Smith. The first volume includes one of the only accounts of Canadian affairs from a London vantage point given that the papers of Sir Guy Carleton were destroyed. The second volume deals predominantly with Quebec.
The fonds consists of correspondence, financial records, minutes, subject files and scrapbooks. This collection contains miscellaneous documents about specific (not all) parcels of land, identified by lot and concession numbers, across southern Ontario from the earliest surveys to Confederation. They document activities on particular lands, including routine correspondence, survey information and some copies of formal instruments, dated mainly before the Crown grant was issued. The papers are filed by township, town or village. Within townships, they are arranged in numerical order by concession and within each concession by lot number. Within towns or villages, documents are arranged alphabetically by name of locatee.

The fonds consists of land records, receipts, ledgers, records of military service, paper silhouettes, an autograph book and correspondence. Taken together these record activities of the various branches of the family since its arrival in Canada. It must be noted here that these papers are not by any means a complete record of these activities but they do provide an interesting insight into the family at various times over the years.
The collection is comprised of correspondence and poems addressed to both Mr. and Mrs Marlow, together and individually covering a variety of social topics such as visits, invitations, marriages, etc., along with some Oxford University business such as leasing of lands, etc. Also includes lists of bishops in England and India [ca. 1769-1832].
