This fonds consists of negatives, slides, photographs, film reels, and videocassettes of various events and organizations in the Kingston area including the opening of the Queen's University Biological Station at Lake Opinicon, Ontario (1946), and the Institute of Psychotherapy (1958); the Kingston Centennial parade and other associated celebrations (1946). Also included are photographs of the Queen's University Biological Station (1947-1948); various Queen's University drama productions; and publicity shots for the local Chapter of the Canadian and Ontario Cancer Societies (1946-1957).

The fonds consists of manuscripts, correpospondence, photographs and audio recordings documenting the life's work and literary activities of Canadian poet Al Purdy and, to a lesser extent, the life of his wife Eurithe Mary Jane Purdy (b. Parkhurst). Includes correspondence with many of the major figures of Canadian literature including Margaret Atwood, Earle Birney, Michael Ondaatje, Dennis Lee, Timothy Findley, Diane Dawber, Susan Musgrave, George Woodcock, H.R. "Bill" Percy, Margaret Dyment, Rosemary Sullivan, Sid Marty, Fraser Sutherland, Ralph Gustafson, John Metcalf, James C. Deahl, Irving Layton, George Woodcock, Robert Fulford and many others. Carbon copies of many of Purdy's letters, both "incoming" and "outgoing," are also represented. The manuscripts cover all aspects of Purdy's literary activities, foremost as a poet, but also include rough notes drafts and final versions of his prose, plays, articles and reviews. Nearly every publication by Purdy throughout his career is represented, although his work from 1970 to 2000 is available in its entirety within this fonds, with drafts of some earlier works residing with other archival institutions. Also includes notes for speeches, lectures and presentations. Among the photographs are images of Purdy taken by professional photographers for book covers or other promotional purposes, family photographs and documents of trips to Peru, Mexico, Greece, among other destinations. Also includes photos from poetry readings. The fonds also contains published items, such as copies of Purdy's poems, prose and reviews; clippings and reviews of his work; and general articles about the author. Other material represented in this fonds document Purdy's activities judging writing contests, book tours, conferences and his own personal life.

Fonds consists of records of the Station Manager, including H.H. Stewart and Steve Cutway; correspondence; reports and surveys; budget material; minutes of the Radio Committee; programme logs; technical data reports, manuals, and license applications relating to both the AM and FM transmitters; requisition books; H.H. Stewart's technical notes relating to various pieces of Station equipment; photographs of Station employees, equipment, and events; the 'Letters Patent' and other legal documents relating to the Incorporation of 'Radio Queen's University'; minutes and financial statements submitted to the Annual General Meeting and to the Board of Directors; applications to the Canadian Radio Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to renew the Station's broadcast license; CD-R of Autumn Convocation 2002; a journal documenting those University sports events involving the Radio Station in which the Clear Cup made an appearance; audio cassettes featuring the Vanier Cup football game between Queen's University Golden Gaels and St. Mary's University Huskies (21 November 1992); sound recordings including a concert by the School of Music's Queen's Collegium of Music (ca. 1980); an address to the John Austin Society by Dr. G.H. Ettinger, with questions, and closing comments by Dr. W.E. Swinton (5 March 1980); Choir Director George Graham, with Assistant Director, Judith M. Evenden, conducting in Chalmers United Church, Kingston (ca. 1985); "Journey into Silence", by Andrew Orr, recorded at Domino Theatre (June 1985); School of Music Student Recital featuring Jukie Mylks,soprano and Fran Harkness, piano (18 April 1993); Queen's Theological College Kick-off to the "Invest in Ministry Campaign", with Steve Cutway interviewing Principal Ross and Mayor John Gerretsen.
