Notes on the proceedings of the Church of Scotland, 1592-1644. Probably a 19th c. transcription.

Fonds consists of correspondence, memoranda and printed material. Most of the material relates to Queen's University. Includes manuscript in ink written on both sides of three pieces of birchbark concerning religious questions and gospel meeting held at Sharbot Lake, Ont., a letterbook for the period 1868-1873, relating to the finances of Grant's church in Halifax (volume 1); correspondence relating to the biography of Principal Grant by his son, W.L. Grant, 1902-1904 (volume 13). Letters from Grant to several well-known figures including Andrew Drummond, C.J. Low, Charles Mair, Sandford Fleming, Alexander Morris, Alfred E. Lavell, William Snodgrass and James Williamson.

The fonds consists of copies and transcriptions of records relating to World War I and World War II; the Colby Collection description; calendars of some records; 106 photographs relating to World War II; and finding aids for several collections in the museum, including the papers of Sir Henry Tizard, 1885-1959.

The collection was brought together from several family branches related to the Griers, particularly from that of the Cartwright family branch. The collection is comprised of additional material from the Addison, Butler, Farrell-Purnell, Matheson, Stevenson, Stewart,and Dobbs families. Included in the collection are correspondence, journals, photographs, accounts and mementos of Brigadier-General George Strachan Cartwright, as well as photographs and a commonplace book of Anne Leman Purnell and Harriet Dobbs Cartwright. Among the photographs are images of Aden, Yemen, Delhi, India and Niagara Falls from the 1890s.

The fonds consists of fourteen vellum Italian scrolls written in Latin, relating to wills, marriage settlements and disposal of monastery property.

The collection consists of correspondence, including a letter of advice, written one week after Confederation, by John A. Macdonald, to Thomas.A. Milne, of Markham Mills, and the Union candidate for the Riding of East York in the 1867 election, concerning James Metcalfe, the ultimate winner; account book (1855-1858); land and business papers; a badge and press clippings about unveiling of the memorial to Macdonald in City Park, Kingston, in 1895.

The collection consists of original letters and documents. Includes items signed by Louis Xlll of France, Sir John A. Macdonald , Sir John Colborne, William Lyon Mackenzie, William McDougall, Israel Tarte, Sir John Thompson, Guglielmo Marconi, Lord Monck and L.S. Huntington. The collection consists of licenses to marry without publication of bans, marriage certificates and affidavits of marriage, 1804-1881. Also includes marriage licenses issued by government in Kingston, 1841-1842.
