Two scrapbooks; one bound in purple with gold lettering and inscribed on the first page. The 100 pages of this album have been numbered by machine, The other volume is bound in green and black with gold lettering andsome of its pages have been numbered by hand. Both books contain news clippings on matters concerning medicine, women's rights, spiritualism and political personages.

The collection consists of sound recordings acquired by Queen's University, previously collected by the Library or otherwise lacking provenance. Includes some published recordings from CBC and other radio stations; recordings relating to events in Kingson, including the 1976 Olympic Games, the Kingston Tercentenary and Music in Kingston events. Also includes recordings from select political events in Ontario and Alberta.

Collection consists of x-ray films of people talking, produced for the study of speech pathology. Films were purchased by Munhall through the Speech Perception and Production Lab from various places, including the University of Laval.

Antietam Battle Maps. Fourteen charts and maps related to the Battle of Antietam, September 17, 1862. The charts list the officers, the corps, the divisions and the brigades of both the Union and Confederate armies. The battle maps document the various portions of the two armies throughout the battle. Robert Blenderman sketches. Illustrate the proposals for the Frontenac County Jail and walls made by the Save the Jail Committee of the Sydenham Ward Ratepayers' Association.

Collection consists of eighty volumes, each composed of a guidebook and thirty slides. Together the sets depict many aspects of the political, economic, and cultural history of Canada. Produced by the National Museum of Man, National Museums of Canada and the National Film Board.

The collection consists of municipal voters' lists from 1921 to 2000, provincial voters' lists from 1938 to 1981, and federal voters' lists from 1953 to 1988. Before 1935, municipal voters lists were used in federal elections. Starting with the election of 1935, federal voters lists were created.The lists bear the names and addresses of eligible voters within a particular polling station. There is also a municipal instruction video regarding elections.

Includes three series, Kingston historical slides, Kingston street scenes and Kingston buildings. Many of these transparencies in the historical images series appear to be from the Heritage Kingston catalogue and are copies of images held by other repositories.

The collection includes all printed records of the university, including statutes, statistics, academic calendars, reports, publicity material, football programmes, history, convocation and honorary degrees, and examinations; as well as publications by affiliated organizations, including student groups, clubs and associations. Includes the Queen's Journal, Queen's Gazette, Queen's Alumni Review, Tricolour (yearbook) and many other periodicals, newspapers and publications.

At the end of 1930 William Eric Pentland Saunders, late of the Indian Army, and his wife, Margaret Helen Saunders, née Inverarity, set out westward from England on a trip around the world. Eric and Maisie embarked on the USS Leviathan at Southampton on December 16, 1930 and returned to England, via Ostend, on about June 11, 1935. They were accompanied throughout by Ivy Vanderplank who was in their employ.

Upon arrival in New York City (December 24, 1930) Maisie bought a Kodak 16mm movie camera. The majority of the films were shot by Maisie, though there are brief glimpses of her in a couple of films, when someone else, likely Eric, took the camera. The numbering of the surviving films suggests that in the course of her trip around the world she produced at least one hundred and twenty-nine reels. She produced another seven 400-foot reels upon her return to the United Kingdom. Most of the films have disappeared, a few have merely not been salvageable. The collection therefore consists of twenty-four 400-foot films, seventeen from the trip around the world and eight from the period after the Saunders' return to the United Kingdom.

The earliest surviving reel shows Peking in January 1932; the latest shows England in the summer of 1936. There are no surviving films from the first year of the Saunders' travels. The majority of the films from the trip around the world refer to the last year of the Saunders' travels -- that is, in the Middle East and Europe in 1934 and 1935.

The Saunders toured Japan until early in January 1932, when they took a ferry to Korea. They made their way overland to Manchuria, freshly occupied by Japan, then down to Peking, where the first of the extant films (24) finds them. The next surviving film (26) begins in Shanghai, where the Saunders party arrived, apparently by ship, during the last phase of the fighting between the Chinese and Japanese (February 1932. The film also shows the group's departure on the USS President Coolidge and its arrival in Hong Kong. Maisie Saunders's films of her party's subsequent travels in French Indochina, the Dutch East Indies and Ceylon and their long sojourn in Australia have all been lost. One film (59) survives from the Saunders's months in New Zealand.

Of stylistic note: many of the films are being shot from inside/on board vehicles. The hood ornaments of their various cars are often visible in the shot.
