Chasing the Sun - Student Film

Directed By: Michael Souther. A student-made documentary on solar powered cars built by Queen's students for the annual competition event Sunrayce. The documentary has a focus on how more women are choosing to go into STEM fields.

Location: Outside Summerhill.Video begins with raw footage of people outside Summerhill awaiting Prince Charles and Princess Diana. They arrive and walk up the path to Summerhill in front of the crowds, video ends with them walking back down.

Stu Dine - The Movie

Main Speaker(s): Unknown commitee, Paul Park. Location: presumably McArthur Hall. Video begins with a woman introducing Dine, who is a Faculty of Education member who is being celebrated. Afterwards a satirical search commitee about a fake job position is held, which is given to Dine. Next a less-than-sober professor delivers an inspirational speech. Dine is then presented with a gifta, a card, and a shirt.

HRH 2, Plaque

Main Speaker: Prince Charles, Jean Charest. Location: Outside near Kingston Hall. Video begins with a black screen while the cameramen try and get the audio levels right. Actual footage begins around 4 minutes in. Camera cuts to a shot of the Grant Hall clocktower while audio from David Smith giving Prince Charles his honourary degree can be heard. Camera then cuts to shots of the crowd whle Prince Charles gives a speech. Afterwards Charest gives a speech talking about the history of Queen's relationship with the royal family. Prince Charles then unveils a plaque declaring Queen's University a national historic monument.

The Sigma-Aldrich Case - Dr. Alfred Bader

Main Speaker(s): Dr Alfred Bader. Dr Bader begins by talking about how he wanted to dontate Sigma-Aldrich stock to Queen's. Dr Bader seems to be defending himself from the idea that his donation to the university was him betting against the Sigma-Aldrich company in some way. He also seems to be degrading the management at Sigma-Aldrich. He spends the end of the video taking questions form the audience.

Walter Light Hall Naming (1/2) / CFRC Interview with Walter Light (2/2)

Part 1. Main Speakers: George Aitken, David Smith, Agnes Benedickson, Dr Walter Light. Location: Walter Light auditorium. Begins with narrator talking about the purpose of Walter Light Hall and the electrical engineering program. Cuts to George Aitken talking about the naming in front of an audience in the auditorium. He presents Dr Light with a scroll signed by the graduating electrical engineering class. Smith takes the podium and talks about Dr Light. Benedickson and also talks about Dr Light as well as the naming process for the building, before unveiling a picture of him that will hang in the building. Dr Light then talks about how honoured he is. Ends with shots of the gathering after the naming.
Part 2. Main Speaker(s): CFRC Interviewer, Dr Walter Light. Location: Walter Light Auditorium. Takes place after the Walter Light Hall Naming. The CFRC interviewer asks Dr Light about his opinions on topics related to business, technology, and universities.
