Part 1. Main Speakers: Don Newman, University Chaplain, David Smith, Prince Charles. Location: Grant Hall. Footage from the CBC live broadcast of the royl visit. Begins with Newman talking about the royal visit and the people who will be in attendance. The chaplain says a prayer before welcoming the Prince and Princess of Wales. Smith then addresses the convocation with a speech before presenting Prince Charles with an honourary doctorate of laws. Prince Charles then gives a speech.

Location: Airport, presumably the Kingston Airport.video begins with the continuation of Queen's Band playing while camera pans over crowd. Prince Charles and Princess Diana arrive, board a plane, and take off.

Main Speaker: Dr William Leggett. Location: Potentially Summerhill. Richard Stackhouse speaks on the prevous principal's accomplishments before introducing Dr Leggett, who talks about how much he appreciates being appointed. Questions are taken from the audience for the rest of the video.

Speicher gives a lecture called "The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Mathematics" where he talks about the applications of pure mathematics in the real world. Jessop then gives a lecture called "Can Chemistry be Green?" where he explains the origins of green chemistry and the importance of reducing pollution while maintaining our economy.

Yealland opens the convocation with a prayer, then Dr Williams is installed as principal and vice-chancellor of Queen's University. He is then robed by representatives of the Queen's community. Afterwards Dr Williams delivers a speech to the audience.

Yealland open the convocation with a prayer after which Milliken gives a speech as a representative of the House of Commons. Rosen gives a speech on behalf of the city of Kingston followed by Kayssi who represents the students as rector. Video ends with Clark giving a speech on behalf of the Ontario Council of Universities.

Part 2. Continuation and conclusion of Prince Charles' speech.

Main Speaker: Prince Charles, Jean Charest. Location: Outside near Kingston Hall. Video begins with a black screen while the cameramen try and get the audio levels right. Actual footage begins around 4 minutes in. Camera cuts to a shot of the Grant Hall clocktower while audio from David Smith giving Prince Charles his honourary degree can be heard. Camera then cuts to shots of the crowd whle Prince Charles gives a speech. Afterwards Charest gives a speech talking about the history of Queen's relationship with the royal family. Prince Charles then unveils a plaque declaring Queen's University a national historic monument.
