Included are views of private dwellings and public, industrial, and commercial buildings; mines and quarries; landscapes and forms; urban waterfronts; the Thousand Islands; the Rideau and St. Lawrence River valleys; military camps; and highway interchanges.

This collection consists of one sepia-tone, digitally enhanced copy print; two black and white, 4 x 5 copy negatives; and three, 35 mm. copy slides; of 'Camp Iroquois', a summer home built in 1875 by James Wallace, and located on Bostwick Island in the Thousand Islands, Ontario.

The collection consists of a number of tintypes and other photographs collected by Herman Balesic over the years. The hand-tinted tintype portraits were mainly taken by J.D. Wallis, melainotype artist, who had an office on Market Square in Kingston, Ontario. The other portraits are examples of the work of other local photographers such as Spohn, Bell, Abbott and Sheldon and Davis.

This fonds consists of postcards of Kingston Street Railway streetcars in various locations including King Street at the top of the Penitentiary hill, Union and Alfred Streets, the streetcar barns, and Lake Ontario Park Zoo; ribbons from the Kingston Street Railway annual 'pic-nic'.
