Of particular interest is the prototype on cheese cloth (bunting), possibly used by Joan O'Malley to sew the first Canadian maple-leaf flag, which was presented to the Canadian Parliament by Prime Minister Lester B. Pratt and Al Purdy. Some papers of artists J.E. H. Macdonald, A. Y. Jackson, C.W. Jefferys and Thoreau Macdonald are included in this collection.
