28th Annual Archives Lecture - "What's Special About Canadian Jewish History"

Main Speakers: Dr Gerald Tulchinsky. Paul Banfield talks about the origins of the Archive Lectures and introduces the guest speaker and topic. Dr Tulchinsky then gives a lecture on Canadian Jewish history, after which he answers questions from the audience for the last half hour of the video. Dr Gordon Dueck then thanks Dr Tulchinsky for speaking.

Begins by showing the announcement of the library, after which Cook narrates about the library's design competition over footage of the finalists. Ends by describing the library design that was chosen.

A Moving Experience - CDS House Move Tape

Location: Throughout Kingston. Video contains raw footage of CDS Building Movers transporting houses on a flatbed truck away from the eventual location of Stauffer Library. Each one of the moves has multiple clips of the house involved being transported from their original location through Kingston to it's eventual destination.

Stauffer Library Cornerstone

Main Speaker(s): Bill MacClatchy, Agnes Benedickson, David Smith. Video is of a ceremony recreating the cornerstone dedication of the Kingston City Hall, but for Stauffer Library the year before it was opened. Begins with a panning shot over crowd gathered outside Stauffer. The Queen's Band plays a few songs, and then MacClatchy introduces the speakers. Benedickson then talks about the history of Stauffer Library. Smith talks further about the function and importance of the library. The cornerstone of the library is then unveiled, and loaded with a time capsule. The plinth is then closed.
