This picture of Vancouver as it was upon the occasion of the visitof H.R.H. the Duke of Connaught twenty-two years ago appears on the right, a planked roadway. As will be seen, the eastern portion of the city was the most thickly populated. Photo was taken from the roof of the Hotel Vancouver. To the left in the picture lies Burrard Street. Granville street. This panoramic view of Vancouver in its pioneer days has never before been published in a newspaper.
