Video begins with Dr White welcoming the audience, talking about the MacClement lectures, and introducing Dr Raffad. Dr Raffad then introduces Horwood, after which a slideshow containing birds, people canoeing, and other outdoor images plays to a background of flute music. Horwood then lectures the audience on the importance of adopting an integrated curriculum designed to encompass the entire human condition, instead of the current system which focuses only on the intellectual portion of life.
