Afterwards, Layton lectures the audience on the meanings and social uses the general public has for science, as well as the implications this has for science.

Video begins with Dr White welcoming the audience, talking about the MacClement lectures, and introducing Dr Raffad. Dr Raffad then introduces Horwood, after which a slideshow containing birds, people canoeing, and other outdoor images plays to a background of flute music. Horwood then lectures the audience on the importance of adopting an integrated curriculum designed to encompass the entire human condition, instead of the current system which focuses only on the intellectual portion of life.

Benedict then performs a traditional Iroquois greeting. Afterwards Dr Freeman introduces Castellano, who lectures the audience on the current state of Canada's aboriginal people, and how their situation is improving.

She begins by asking the students to describe how they picture a native to show their preconceived stereotypes. Afterwards, they discuss this, as well as the current native standard of living and other issues.
