Audiovisual materials

This series was mainly compiled by the 75th anniversary committee in preparations for the celebrations and subsequent book publication. Photographic material was gathered from congregation members pertaining to early families and events in the Kingston Jewish community. There is a good index of named individuals and subjects for searching. In addition to photographs, Interviews were conducted with various families and these recordings are also part of this series. There is a small amount of post 75th anniversary material but it is not described in as detailed a manner. The 100th anniversary is reflected in a multimedia format in a DVD set.

The Board activities series includes executive committee minutes, records from individual roles on the executive committee (ie president’s files and logs), minutes of the general meetings, board reports and governance documents (such as the Constitution and bylaws) as well as the correspondence of various individual Rabbis.

This series is comprised of records that were produced or created by organizations which have an affiliation with the local congregation and synagogue but are not a part of the operation of the congregation. This includes records from philanthropic, service, advocacy, education and fellowship organizations such as Hadassah-WIZO, B'nai Brith, Hillel, and the Kingston Jewish Community Council.

This series is comprised of communications, publications and ephemera created and/or collected by the congregation in pursuit of its objectives and includes the KOLAINU newsletter, mailings to congregants, flyers, advertisements, etc. Also includes clipping files for various congregation families.
