Biosciences Complex & Technology Centre Announcement

Main Speaker(s): David Smith, Helen Cooper, Frances Lankin, Dave Cooke. Location: Outside, near the future location of the Bioscience Complex. Begins with Smith welcoming the audience, before introducing Cooper. Cooper then goes into further detail of the important contributers to the Bioscience Complex before introducing Lankin, who speaks a little on the Kingston economy and the provincial government's recent decisions involving local jobs. Cooke speaks further on the jobsOntario program. Afterwards Lankin talks about the government's relationship with the university. Smith then thanks the government representatives for their contribution to the university.

Bioscience Sod Turning

Main Speaker(s): Thomas Williams, Dr William Leggett. Location: The grass outside the construction of the Bioscience Complex, a stage is set up in front of an audience. Tom Williams takes the stage ans speaks about how the construction for Bioscience will begin soon. He introduces Dr Leggett, who speaks further about the symbolic sod turning and the building itself. Short speeches are given by Gary Wilson and Gary Bennett, and Richard Stackhouse cuts a large cake in the shape of the buiding. The last 15 minutes are raw footage of the gathering after the speeches.

Queen's Centre Groundbreaking Ceremony

Main Speaker(s): Chris Wyman, Karen Hitchcock, Andrew Simpson, Dr Andrew Pipe, James McMillan, Allison Bag, Mitch Legais, Bill Young. Video begins with Wyman announcing the groundbreaking and thanking the students for their contribution. Hitchcock then introduces the important figures present and talks about the project. Simpson then thanks everyone present for their contribution to the Queen's Centre. Dr Pipe talks further on the architecture of the centre. McMillan speaks on behalf of the students. Bag and Legais speak further on the athletic nature of the Queen's Centre. Young thanks more people relevant to the project. Afterwards the speakers drive off to the future location of the Queen's Centre and break the ground.

Fundraising Video / Alumni Program

First half of video consists of edited clips of several Queen's alumni talking about how the world is becoming more connected and how Queen's can prepare students for the future. Scope of video shifts from how Queen's is a fantastic school to how Queen's is in need of money and is fundraising. Second half of video is a duplicate of the first half, with roughly 2 minutes more footage used.
