The reseacher is able to trace the development and the forces that come to bear upon the publication, from the initial submission of a manuscript to the ultimate printing and sale of that manuscript. Manuscripts, typescripts, galley proofs and press proofs of most published manuscripts are included in the fonds.

McCallum land documents collection

The collection consists of five documents related to the McCallum family in the Charlottenburgh area of Glengarry County in Ontario, Canada. Included are an Indian Land Sale Grant to Archibald McCallum in Charlottenburgh (1860), an indenture between Donald McMartin and his wife, and Peter McCallum for Lots 4 and 5, Indian Reservation, Charlottenburgh (1868), the will of Peter McCallum (1881), an indenture between Archibald McCallum and John Peter McCallum (1887) and an indenture between James E. McIntosh and John P. McCallum for a right of way on Lot 3, Concession 7 in the Indian Reservation lands of Charlottenburgh (1904)

The fonds consists of the professional and private records of Bob Fleming from 1952 to 2005. It includes all aspects of his professional life [excluding PACE Magazine years - see KRH holdings] from his work with Moral Re-Armament in the 1950s-1960s, his consultancy as R.J. Fleming & Associates (1970s) and Robert J. Fleming International Research (1980s-1990s), his work with Robert L. Stanfield, his twelve-year term as Director of Administration of Ontario's Legislative Assembly, his work on the publication "Canadian Legislatures", and the creation and administration of YES Canada. The fonds also includes personal records including an unpublished memoir, correspondence with family, friends and colleagues, legal papers, notes and memos, and other material. The fonds has been divided into 13 series: Moral Re-Armament series (1952-1965); PACE Magazine series (1967-1969); Arctic & Mid-Canada Corridor series (1968-1971, 2009); R.J. Fleming & Associates series (1970-1984); Royal Commission on Book Publishing (1972-1983); Rt. Hon. The fonds consists of various collected copies of family trees and other genealogical information for the Acheson, Robertson and Kenyon families from the Tay Valley/North Burgess geographic area. Of particular note is the information pertaining to Grace Kenyon, a cousin of Campbell's, who did missionary work in India in the 1940's. There is a small amount of original material in the fonds including 5 photographs of various Robertson family members. Also includes class exams written by Emma Campbell (nee Acheson) in the early 1940's from her nursing courses in a variety of subjects such as Anatomy and Physiology, Preventative Medicine, Pharmacology, Psychiatry and Psychiatric Nursing, Communicable Diseases, etc.

The fonds consists of correspondence, scrapbooks, news clippings, transcripts of local diaries, and alphabetical family and genealogical files. These genealogical files, which relate mainly to Bay of Quinte and Loyalist families, contain correspondence, research from printed sources, newspaper clippings and some photographs. Also included is a set of ordnance survey maps of Kingston and area dated 1869.

Literary files from the Executors of the estate of A.R.M. Lower which include unpublished articles. Also included is an audio tape recorded in Kingston, Ont., April 13, 1971 which is a discussion of recent Canadian history, as well as Dr. Lower's views as expressed in the book Canadians in the Making. Dr. Lower also answers various questions concerning his philosophy of history as it relates to his philosophy of life.

Clench', 'Nancy Malloy', and 'Robert Sutherland'; submissions to 'Wartime Memories', which formed the basis for the 1995, and the revised 1996 publication, capturing alumni memories of the Second World War, entitled, 'Queen's Goes to War: 'The best and the worst of times ...''; photographs of numerous Queen's University football teams; photographs of Upper Canada Village; transcripts of interviews with Dr. Margaret Angus, A.D. McGinnis, Dr. Stewart Webster, and Clara Brooke, undertaken as part of the Review's on-going "Oral History Project"; copy of article, plus original typescript, authored by Alfred Bader describing his time spent as a prisoner in a Canadian internment camp, compact disk containing images of the shirt he wore while interned; and bound volumes of the "Queen's Alumni Review".
