Thousand Islands travel diary

Diary of a young woman touring the Thousand Islands for the month of August 1883. Starting in Hartford, Connecticut on August 1st, 1883 and ending in Montreal on September 1st, 1883. The author spends much of the diary remarking on the beauty of the scenery, the quality of the food and variations in the weather. She recounts day excursion on both American and Canadian islands and town. She is traveling with the Reedfield family (4 members - Mrs. and Mrs Reedfield and their children George and Henry) There are also a couple of entries at the end of the diary for a trip to the White Mountains in New Hampshire in September of 1885.
