Item is an illustrated portrait of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (b. August 26, 1819, d. December 14, 1861). Was the husband of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. Below the portrait an extract from Her Majesty's Speech, November 23, 1839: "It is my intention to ally myself in Marriage with Prince Albert of Saxe Coburg and Gotha. I have not come to this decision without mature consideration nor without feeling a strong assurance that with the blessing of Almighty God it will at once secure my domestic felicity and serve the Interests of my Country."
