Manuscript report. Relates to proposal for introducing the cultivation of hemp in the province of Nova Scotia. The report was addressed to Lord Dorchester, governor of the provinces of Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and their dependencies.
Collection consists of one scrapbook of linguistic study featuring drawings and clippings on many different alphabets and number systems used around the world. Some examples are Hebrew, Egyptian hieroglypics, Phoenician, Arabic, Ancient Etruscan, Gaelic, and Russian.
Item is a book of lecture notes and medical recipes seemingly created by Dickson while attending Medical Schoolin New York (according to the inscription).
