The papers include business records with such local firms as Anglin, Sowards, Robertson, Livingston, Cartwright, Cunningham, Isaac Newlands, Simmons, Rathbun, McKelvey and Birch, Dalton and Strange; a number of lawyers including John A. Macdonald, Kirkpatrick and Rogers, Britton and Whiting; and a number of doctors.

The papers have documentation on Dr. Rawlyk's professional activities, wide research interests, and rich religious life. The papers include his extensive correspondence with Canadian and American scholars. The files of writings show his broad range of interests in the fields of Evangelical/Baptist history, the life and works of Henry Alline, the history of the Maritime provinces, and Canadian historiography generally. Extensive documentation is included on the two important events in Dr. Rawlyk's scholarly life: the 1993 Angus Reid Poll on Religious life in Canada; and the 1995 conference on Canadian Evangelicals, both assisted by the P.E.W. Trust.
