Letter to "Kennel Review"

Bottom half of letter ripped off and missing. Addressed to "Kennel Review". Publishing Co. in Kansas City. Reads: "I notice you have a blue pencil mark on my copy (January). On Dec 31rst I made a remittance of $5.46 which to be credited to classified ad that I stated on Jan issue... Attaching another $1.25 for Modern Airedale... I enjoy K.V. more each year and I think you have got my attention for life by the way I feel... Your ads bring results and I do not find that he demand for good Airedales."

Personal Letter

Handwritten, signed by "Mother". Reads: "Dear Hanean, Just a few words to you… we were up to Mrs Ruthaus funeral yesterday and are on our way to Gananoque this morning father to Jamison about R. Paul he says it belongs to the government and Huntback tried to claim it as well. I forbid him cutting any on it... you had a better get busy about it he said he would see about it but you can do it yourself and cannot tell you... on dog lake name (Rabbit no need to not tell you this as well a great talker attend but doesn't... from high water mark he will you cannot cut timber only for building purposes... Jamieson he would attend to that matter about Grandpa certificate now and I will too as soon I can. All well, God Bye..."

If you will send in a description of the lot, or part lot, concession and township in front of which you desire to erect the boat house, you will be further advised." Signed, "Your obedient servant, W.C. Cain".

"Sid Parkins Wholesale and Retail Fish Merchant" notepad scrap

Note pad paper ripped on top edges, frayed corners, black smudges. Letter head reads: "If it swims I sell it… Sid Perkins Wholesale and Retail Fish Merchant. No extra charge for cleaning". Written in handwriting: "Dear Sir, The bitch had two food servings... I will ship her back to... I see she has a little canker... That's why she drops it... a few Drops (warmed olive oil in a spoon) gently and a little Barasic powder. Find bitter." Bottom has scribbled names, "Champion", "Gladiator", "Champion Midlord".

Official Communication

Top of letter is a picture of a hooded person in white robes on top of a hooded horse holding a torch, with the words "Yesterday Today and Forever". Begins with "Read at your Next Meeting", then follows another general greeting. Reads: "I find that too many men are being admitted into our Order without their Klectoken or Donation being paid and in many cases these men do not attend meetings or take any further interest in Klankraft. This method is roving a detriment to Klankraft and must be discontinued at once. Effective at once King Kleagles, Kleagles, and Exalted Cyclops are instructed to see that the Obligation or Secret work is not suffered upon any applicant until the Klectoken or Donation has been paid in full and dues for the first quarter or remaining period of such quarter has been paid. You will t once notify all members that when they bring eligible with them to our meeting that they must inform such eligible that the donation is ten dollars and the dues $1.50 per quarter or 50 cents per month [...] and in case this is not done the member bringing them to the meeting will be held personally responsible for such donation and dues". Goes on to insist they inform and enforce the above. Signed Richard L. Cowen, Imperial Wizard, by Dr. J.H. Hawkins, Imperial Klaliff and Chief of Staff.

Reads "Dear Hanean, I was pleased to receive your letter a few days ago. I was wondering what had become of you. However I'm glad to see that you are well. I'm pretty fair myself. I am now time keeper at the Werpl here… after so you'll see it keep me pretty busy. I've just finished my monthly report in February which goes to Ottawa. We are still pretty busy. I do not know how long the job will last. I'm sure I suppose. There will be something doing while this parliament is in session, did you get my stuff from Montreal... 2 bottles and have still 5 1/2 bottles which I'm saving for an emergency... I shall be glad to punish a couple with you. I get off Saturday or anytime be sure and call at the dept Allan Bldg Comen Simcoe and Peal St. Room 23 third floor. Things are very quiet around town to these days. The only place to go in the Shea Heppdron. I sure agree with you that if one kid is enough these times wish my pension and savings I daw about $180 a month and is about all I can do to come out even. Say chap what are you doing... so money dogs are you gaming in fur breeding dofs. This must cost you quite a sum to feed them. I should like to run down some weekend and will try to do so when I am sure about getting on time as if not necessary that she... work day as luck have to...
