The material in the collection consists of twenty-one binders of material prepared for use by the official biographers of Mackenzie King. In addition to a chronological guide to King's career, two volumes of transcripts of Sir Robert Borden correspondence, there are eighteen binders of memoranda that were prepared by several well-known historians and researchers who were experts on the life and career of Mackenzie King, including James Eayrs, Frederick Gibson and A.W.A. Lane.
The fonds consists of correspondence, poems, prose, biographical items, news clippings, and scrapbooks. Correspondents include Sir Robert Borden, Lord Tweedsmuir, Lady Tweedsmuir, Robertson Davies, Stephen Leacock. Louis St. Laurent and Sir Edward Peacock.
Collection consists of Minute Books, including copies of land deeds, subscription lists, and accounts for Waterloo School House, later known as School Section No. 8 in the Township of Kingston, and subsequently changed to School Section No. 6 in the Township of Kingston; and teaching contracts; World War Two "Gasoline License and Ration Coupon books, an Savings Stamps; postcards and a photograph relating to Kingston, the 1954 Royal Visit to Kingston, and his great grandfather, William Saul; and a taped interview with his grandfather.
The fonds consists of almost 200 black and white photographs created and/or collected by Cpl. John Irving Freeman during his time of military service in the 1st Commonwealth Division, with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (R.C.E.M.E.) during the Korean conflict. The subject matter of the photographs is fairly personal in nature, showing Freeman and his fellow soldiers, living quarters and military machinery.The album also includes ephemera collected by Freeman during his time in Korea such as currency, beers lables, safe conduct and Domain of the Golden Dragon certificates,
