The collection was brought together from several family branches related to the Griers, particularly from that of the Cartwright family branch. The collection is comprised of additional material from the Addison, Butler, Farrell-Purnell, Matheson, Stevenson, Stewart,and Dobbs families. Included in the collection are correspondence, journals, photographs, accounts and mementos of Brigadier-General George Strachan Cartwright, as well as photographs and a commonplace book of Anne Leman Purnell and Harriet Dobbs Cartwright. Among the photographs are images of Aden, Yemen, Delhi, India and Niagara Falls from the 1890s.

Wolfe Island - Horne Cemetery Burial List
Contains 8 typed pages of copied burial lists. Copied from Mrs. William Horne, Wolfe Island by Elizabeth S. Williams on September 7th, 1963. The Horne family acquired the ownership of the cemetery lands originally acquired by a Mr. Spinning. This property, known as the Point Alexandria Cemetery, was never transferred to the United Church. Later, Mr. Bruce Horne gave land to the United Church known as the United Church Cemetery. The whole area is known as the Horne's Cemetery and officially as Point Alexandria Cemetery. There are a total of 163 sandstone, limestone, and granite gravestones present as of 1973, the earliest dating to a Ms. Aribella Bush, who died on June 13, 1843.

Architectural Measured Drawings collection
The drawings represent heritage buildings in many towns and regions in southern Ontario such as Adolphustown, Bath, Claireville, Cobourg, Cornwall, Grafton, Islington, Kingston, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Perth, Port Hope and Toronto. Two northern towns are represented by North Bay and Penetanguishene. The drawings represent a variety of structures from churches, clubs and rectories to commerical buildings, factories and mills. The material is organized alphabetically according to town or region.

Collection consists of 73 photographs of Queen's buildings. The photographs were taken ca 1964 and are individually numbered beside each image. These numbers correspond to written description about each building (written description is enclosed in folder with the photographs). The written descriptions contain information regarding date of building, architect and cost.
