Quartermain sits in a chair qhile Dr Delva asks him to perform various movements, such as saluting and lighting cigarette. Benedickson begins by introducing the important figures on stage before welcoming up MacCleod who talks about the importance of the school. MacDonald speaks on behalf of the federal government. Smith talks on behalf of the university, then Benedickson declares the school officially open.

Video was filmed on the first day of development, highlighting the natural beauty of the area soon to be destroyed with narration by Helwig.
