The fonds consists of research notes, drafts of some publications, lecture notes, and related material representing Dr. Spencer's academic and other research work and interests from 1960 to 1998. There is extensive correspondence related to his professional duties as well as to his external affiliations, in addition to reviews of papers and reports regarding topics in biochemistry and the funding of graduate studies programmes. Included in the collection are lab notes, photographs, photographic negatives, transparencies and notebooks.
