The fonds consists of correspondence and subject files relating to various matters during Salsberg's term as an alderman and as a member of the Ontario Legislature. Also included are correspondence and research notes relating to many topics pertaining to the Jewish communities in Canada and around the world. There are also copies of Salsberg's articles written for the Canadian Jewish News and other publications. Personal photos and some of Dora's files can also be found in this fonds. This fonds contains the following series: Politics (1937-1957), Judaica (1906-1995), Writings (1949-1993) and Personal records ([190-]-[199-]).

Politics

Series consists of subject files and correspondence relating to political issues in Toronto and Ontario, as well as material for Salsberg's campaigns for Alderman and MPP. Also included are minutes and correspondence for the Labour Progressive Party, formerly the Communist Party, and notes relating to Salsberg's trips to Europe in 1947 and to the USSR in 1948. This series contains the following sub-series: Labour and Political Issues (1936-1956), Labour Progressive Party (1940-1957), Campaign (1935-1980), Writings (1940-1961), and European Tours (1947-1957).
