Agnes Etherington Expansion Funding Announcement 1995 Floyd Laughven

Main Speaker: David McTavish, Gary Wilson, Floyd Laughren, Dr William Leggett. Begins with a long shot of a crowd gathered in Agnes Etherington Gallery, no distinct voices can be made out. Camera pans to a podium where McTavish welcomes Laughren and talks about the Arts Centre. McTavish then introduces Wilson who in turn introduces Laughren McTavish then takes the podium and announces the funding for an expansion of the Arts Centre. Dr Leggett then thanks Laughren for the funding.

The simulations used microcomputers to incorporate players around the world. Throughout the lecture he answers questions from the audience.

Part 1. Main Speaker(s): Fred Goodman. Video contains a demonstration of an educational game by Goodman. This game is a demonstration of rule-governed behaviour, where participants must follow certain sets of rules to survive. The main rule established by Goodman is that each player must have at least one marble to survive along with a few others, more rules are created by players acting as the government as the game goes on. After explaining the game the audience plays it for the remainder of the video.
